Opinions are divided on whether well-known individuals such as influencer and models can control people’s opinions and attitudes as well as the great difficulty to correct it. This essay will discuss about this with my personal view.
To begin, celebrity definitely pose immense power and influences when it comes to a specific problem or topic. The people that support them can be seperated into healthy and unhealthy followers. Unhealthy followers tend to have great enthusiasm with their beloved celebrity, to the point where they intimate their behavior, style and are willing to do whatever the model says. One popular example of this is Minecraft Mob Vote event which is heavily affacted by Dream–a popular gamer. Furthermore, chain reaction also contributes to this issue. Individuals tend to follow the majority in a particular problem. In other other words, the influence of celebrity and their fans can not be underestimated. Thus, the models may not have the control of all people, they can still affect people or a particular event significantly.
Regarding the issue, several measures can be taken to address this. Firstly, the governments and their citizens should concentrate on raising the awareness of the people. By spreading information and orgainising social events, the influence of a celebrity of people can be reduced. Secondly, celebrity themselves should as well remind thier followers to have a bigger view.
