Band 5+: Why is water important in our life? How harmful can it be?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Water is one among five most important elements on earth. According to the Darwin’s theory of evolution, water is where life began.

Like every other thing in the world, water also has its good and bad aspects. It is one of the most common things we use in our daily life. Drinking, cooking, washing, cleaning and so on, water serves us in multiple ways. We can say that our survival is largely dependent on water. A person can live for several weeks without food but, it’s very difficult to live even for days without water.

There are several bad aspects of water as well. When the amount of water is extremely large and when it suddenly goes out of control, it can bring a lot of destruction. This happens due to natural water resources or artificial water reservoirs. When water is stored in some place and is not attended for long time, it acts as a store to various insects like mosquitoes. This leads to the spread of several diseases and other health related issues. These bad impacts of water are usually caused by negligence of human in taking care of natural water resources.

If we compare the number of good aspects and bad aspects of water, we can easily find out that water is more useful to us than being bad in terms of use. So, we should use it as properly as possible.
