As urban populations continue to expand and the number of vehicles on the roads increases, many cities are facing escalating problems related to air pollution and traffic congestion. While some advocate for greater investment in public transport as a solution, others argue that implementing stricter emissions regulations and promoting electric vehicle usage would be more effective. This essay will examine both perspectives before confirming that using public transportation systems way more sustainable and practical solution

First of all, investing more funds in public transport leads to developed level of infrastructure which makes city not only transportation systems more convenient, roads and apperance of the city becomes fascinating and puts the city on par with big megacities. Developed public transport is a key for comprehensive growing city, also the main enourmous advantage of public transport is that it can compare more people inside the bus, than the cars, because it is way more massive than the cars and take less place in one amount of square metres. For instance if one bus takes 40 square metres of road and could include 50 people in it when cars take 10-15 square metres and fits maximum 4 humans, then if we also include that there is abundant amount of cars on roads local transport becomes overestimated way of transport. We can swap places that cars take with public transport buses reducing amount of air pollution and traffic congestion

On the other hand, electric cars is your own comfort, where you can just sit and relax, just because it is yours. You can not do such a things with the public transport because a lot of people there will annoy you. And also stricter regulations on emissions can do well in fighting against traffic congestion and severe air pollution because it will motivate people move to electric cars. I think that electric cars will start taking bigger role in our environment and ecologic safety in closest future the reason behind is that does not release exhaust gases. For instance, if we look at USAs experience, in the last 5 years 40% of personal cars were replaced by electric vehicles, and even now after only 5 years we can see result that was published by MIT, which says that in last 5 years amount of traffic pollution decreased rapidly to 35% in USA in that short period. It was only in usa, and imagine if all the people from different countries were moving to electric vehicles, what effect we gained?

In conclusion, even when electric cars got a big advantage like not releasing exhaust gases, i think that developing public transport is way more viable idea, because it is not only saves place reducing traffic, also it decreases amount of air pollution. I think that developing public transport is a good way to humanity step closer to bright future
