Band 5+: With the increased global demand for oil and gas, undiscovered areas of the world should be opened up to access more resources. To what extent do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

However, the growing demand of fossil fuels such as oil and gas in the world for manufacturing and creating energy, but it is harmful for environment and causes damage in wide areas that contains forests and insects. I strongly believe that government should save environment from business companies that are always looking for digging in it to find oil and gas.

Even though finding many areas that can provide fossil fuels are helpful for manufacturing needs to apply demand of global markets, that is why many corporations always search for wide areas that have oil and gas. In addition, fuel is useful in indirect ways to create many new jobs for citizens. Therefore, the increasing rate of manufacturing would lead to rise in people’s salaries, so economic of country will rise, and that will aim to decrease prices of items in whole markets.

On the other hand, exploration of untouched areas would lead to enormous environmental damage and disasters results. For instance, existing of oil or gas under area that has forest will enforce companies to deforestation, so this will affect negatively on the ecosystem. Moreover, burning fossil fuels increases global warming. Therefore, this will be serious threat for all kinds of animals and insects which lead to extinction. Governments should invest in renewable resources and encourage all business companies for using it in the near future.it also should impose harmful and strict regulations for any company will cross its limit of using environment.

In conclusion, discovering many areas to get oil and gas may bring economic benefits in the short-term, but in the long-term consequences of exploration and digging will cause environmental damage. Therefore, I strongly believe that using renewable energy is a practical solution for situations like this.
