In the contemporary era, the amount of energy needed to supply human activities is rising, so people are more interested in renewable energy. In my opinion, natural energy would have a lot of benefits if we compared it to non-renewable energy, but it also offers numerous drawbacks.
It is understandable why a quantity of people thinks using sustainable energy sources is detrimental. For them, the cost for renewable quite high. In fact, renewable energy technologies often require significant initial investment for installation and setup, while fossil fuels just need reasonable prices. Such a drawback can especially be detrimental to developing countries, it may be exceeded the governments’ payment fund. Another disadvantage is that renewable energy is unpredictable. Although it really utilizable, it cannot predict. To be specific, solar power is not generated at night, or at wet day and wind power cannot produce when there is no wind.
However, there are numerous reasons why utilize power from nature are benefits. It can be easily seen that it helps the earth greener. Eco-friendly sources have a little impact on the environment due to the fact that they are all from the nature, while fossil fuels exhaust many of carbon dioxin, carcinogen, and so on and influencing on biodiversity. Additionally, it more sustainable than fossil fuels. In the modern day, individuals need more energy, and the energy from fossil fuels may not enough to provide for people’s needs because it takes time to regenerate, comparing to the renewable fuels, which never be exhausted, it will better meet human needs in now and in the future.
In conclusion, natural resources have its downsides of its cost and unpredictable, but it comes with a variety of benefits of protecting environment and sustainability.
