With growing trend of online educational courses, some individuals think that traditional college education will become obsolete. This essay strongly disagrees with the statement, because knowledge and skills that universities provide are better in quality than the distance learning. In the future, high education instituitions will be as respected as they are today, and will make more professionals.
Universities have centuries of knowledge, researches, and experiences in teaching and they give fundametal workers to the world, such as doctors, engineers and pilots. Professors teach high quality skills and precisely works with every students, giving professional feedback. They also test students’ knowledge, ensuring their competence. Moreover, these instituitions give access to practice their knowledge in laborotories, computers, and etc. Without these realistic experiences students are not likely to be suitable for their jobs. For example, doctors should be greatly educated and have at least some experience before pursuing their careers. They learn anatomy on real skeletons and sewing on skin in their universities. Otherwise, they could harm somebody if they had not done any pratices and tests before.
Colleges have been very authoritive and respected place for a long time, as they improve today’s world by researches, innovations and clever professionals. These schools will not become old-fashioned, because they teach crucial knowledge that online courses will not. Students of universities, beside their major subjects, learn ethics, communications and many more complementary subjects that develop right character, making themselfs good members of society.
In conclusion, distance learning can not replace, or make universities worse by their accessibility. Because high education will always be vital part of humanity, as it shapes society by high level knowledge they provide to it. Also, it will remain important in the future, because they teach important lessons like ethics, that online courses will certainly not.
