If I am asked whether I would prefer to in a traditional house or a modern building apartment, I would say the traditional house. This is because living in a traditional house has several advantages.
Traditional houses are larger than the apartment. They have multiple rooms, a garden, a playground and sometimes swimming pools. My children can play in the playgrounds, My grandparents can spend time in the garden and I can enjoy swimming. Some houses also have libraries for reading. I am an online tutor. To conduct my online classes smoothly, I need privacy which can only be provided by a traditional house as it has different areas for the sitting of my family members. While in an apartment, due to a small space, they can distract me. Moreover, I can build a drawing room in the traditional house so that if some guests come to my house they can stay there without affecting our living style. Further, I can organize events such as birthday parties for my children, weddings and other ceremonies in the traditional house. However, an apartment does not provide such a facility. In a traditional house, I can only suffer because of my own mistakes, but in an apartment, I can endure hardships because of others’ faults. For example, if I share an electricity meter with someone and he consumes a lot of electricity, I will have to pay half of the bill even if I use less amount of electricity.
Although living in a traditional house has numerous benefits, life in the apartment also has some pros. For example, I can befriend the people around me and they support can me in my difficult time. My children can play with their children. They can take care of my family when I am not at home. For example, if my children have an accident and I am away from my house, my neighbours can take him or her to the hospital.
Even living in an apartment has countless benefits, yet I would like to live in a traditional house as it provides me comfort, privacy, and opportunities of activities like gaming, swimming, etc.
