In today’s modern and advanced world, money holds the highest value to own anything in the whole world because it has the power to dominate the entire globe financially. However, many are of the opinion that money can not replace happiness. This essay will discuss about difficulties in defining happiness and possible ways for humans to achive happiness, followed by a reasoned conclusion.
To begin with, the definition of happiness differs as per the diverse perspectives of individuals. Owing to this it becomes difficult to define happiness due to numerous reasons. First of all, there is no prescribed formula for happiness and it could be experienced by various means of happiness for variety of people. For some people, who tend to be financially stable could view mental peace and acquiring physical fitness as the greatest happiness. Whereas, people deprived of basic neccessities such as food ,cloth and shelter, could refer this materialistic possessions as happiness because they are unable to efford them. Additionally, for women the freedom and equality in society could be ragarded as beling happy. For example, Asian women, particularily in India, have always been looked down upon by male dominant society but giving them with equal opportunities and rights have boosted their confidence and happiness by 90%, as per a survey conducted by World Health Organization last year.
Moreover, people can achieve happiness by finding their true worth and values. These enable them to strive for their best in many areas such as academic, fitness, worklife balance and so on. Also, a sense of satisfaction and belief in themselves would help them achieve greater feats in their life rather than monetory values. As, it can truly understood by the fact that we should be able to focus on ow capabilities and work towards our biggest skills and capabilities would definately get you the success. For example, in many collages today, undergraduates run behing securing a job raher than focusing on completionof their degree by ganing theoritical and pratical knowedge.
To conclude, money is not the only definition to happiness and varies among individuals. To focus on immaterialistic achivements would bring the happiness in people’s life.
