Some argue that increasing the number of sports facilities is the best way to improve public health, while others believe that this would have negligible effect on people’s health and require other measures. Although the latter opinion is true, I believe that establishing more sports facilities is the best way to improve public health.
Having good medical facilities and ensuring that all the people follow proper diet are some of the factors which contribute for better health of the public. Conducting awareness camps to spread knowledge about good eating habits will help people to boost their overall health. Proper diet will make people consume healthy, home-made foods which provide all kinds of nutrients required by the body because they are hygiene and contain lots of vitamins and minerals. Furthermore, when the human body receives the required amount of nutrients it functions well improving overall bodily functions and immunity, improving individual’s health. For example, many people who have joined health centers in India adopted proper eating habits and noticed significant improvement in their health. However, not everyone can afford to buy dietary foods or join health centers because they are expensive and not easily available.
On the other hand, Expanding the number sports clubs can be considered as one of the prominent ways to improve public health. Sports involve physical activity which demands more oxygen and energy. This is because when we exercise it will result in faster circulation of blood leading to an increase in heart beat which demands oxygen from the lungs. As the circulation of blood is improved and the body gets adequate amount of oxygen it boosts the overall metabolism of the body and the brain resulting in better health and improved focus on work. Additionally, sports involves social interactions and improve connections among the community. Furthermore, most of the sport facilities are arranged by the government or by a group of people and therefore are easily affordable by the public. In recent times, government of Visakhapatnam has conducted various programmes encouraging individuals to join various sports which resulted in better social engagement and public health.
In conclusion, Factors like better hospitals and good dietary habits are essential for improving the public health, I believe that these are expensive compared to sports facilities which are cheap and also help in improving overall health of the public.
