Increasing in older people number in our communities has been influence positively our communities from all perspectives. This essay will discuss both opinions that agree and disagree with this fact. Also, demonstrate my own opinion.
On the one hand, there is a percentage of people who do not believe this reality. As they have shown a lot of drawbacks of having a huge number of people with more than 65 in our society like descending in the participation workforce, increasing the pressure on health service and enlarge cost of economy. In addition, it can cause a low percentage of population over the country. For example, Japan is holding the title of aging population with ⅓ of its citizens over 65 years old.
On the other hand, others think that an aging population can reflect positively on the community. Firstly, economic productivity as some of the aging men and women remain in their jobs, for instance Elena with 81 is working in the factory beside her grandson in Mozambique. Secondly, deeper family bonds as they will provide good family care for their sons and grandsons.
Getting to my own opinion about aging people would support the first category because they demonstrate more logical reasons and actualities that we can see every day in our societies.
In conclusion, contributing to the flow in the number of people who are over 65 will remain constant with its own drawbacks and benefits. And it depends on the community to use that usefully or not.
