In today’s world, living in urban area is common. There are certain advantages of residing in urban life, however, the disadvantages are also worth considering. Both sides will be discussed in this essay.
One evident benefit of living in urban area is that it allows people to reach anywhere whenever they want. Since big cities have facilities like supermarkets, various hospitals, shopping centers, individuals can get what they need at any time without any concerns. For example, parents can buy special baby food for their child at the nightime. Another advantage is that people can enjoy their social life in urban area. There are a lot of places to hangout with friends or family, such as cafes, restaurants, cinemas and entertainment centers. Meeting with beloved ones become more interesting and enjoyable while trying and exploring new places in big cities.
On the other hand, urban life has several drawbacks. One major disadvantage is that the air quality is low in urban cities. As there are a lot of traffic from high usage of cars, the air gets polluted with carbon dioxide from vechiles. Such air with low oxygen can cause different ilnesses for people. Furthermore, there is also noise pollution in big cities which can disturb people. People outside, riding cars in rodes and music from restaurants during night hours creates a lot of noise and prevents calmness. For example, a tired man can not rest well due to these sounds after an exhausting work day.
In conclusion, residing in urban area enables people to have their necessities at any time and enjoy their leisure time freely. Nevertheless, polluted air and a lot of noise in urban areas make it harder to live here.
