I strongly support the vision of making Earth habitable once more.

There is an example that a dirty fish can contaminate an entire pond, similarly, many individuals contribute to making our Earth dirty and polluted. We need to identify these ‘dirty fish’ and remove them from the pond. Examples of these pollutants include factories that emit harmful gases and others that discharge dirty water. Earth is the only place where humans can live safely and happily, yet some people believe it is too far gone due to the damage caused by previous generations. They demand that governments allocate funds for the search for alternative planets to inhabit, while overlooking potential solutions here on Earth. For instance, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, has invested millions into missions to Mars in search of life, yet success has eluded him so far, with expenditures nearing $10 billion.
Secondly, if we redirected the funds allocated for research into life on other planets toward improving and restoring Earth, we could save a tremendous amount of money, time, and effort. Conversely, investing a large sum into the search for extraterrestrial life without success would lead to a significant waste of resources. Therefore, our priority should be to clean up and restore Earth rather than focus on external exploration. We can improve our planet by conserving water—because water is life—by shutting down factories that emit harmful gases, and by stopping littering in our streets. We can also promote recycling and converting waste into energy, which would be instrumental in helping make our Earth cleaner.
In conclusion, it is a waste of time, money, and effort to search for another planet when we have the opportunity to improve our own home, which has suffered due to the actions of previous generations.
