In recent years, entertainers such as actors, musicians, and sport player earning much higher salaries than politicians. This situation have developed mainly due to growth of the media and global entertainment industries. In my opinion, although there are many reasons for this difference in income, it is a negative development because politicians have more responsibility towards society.
There are several reasons why entertainers paid more than politician. Firstly, entertainers attract huge audience across the world though their movies, music and sports events. This global reach allows them to earn money from entertainment, sponsorship and ticket sales. Companies are willing to pay them high amounts because they help in promoting products and increasing profits of the companies. Secondly, the entertainment industry is based on popularity and demand. only few individuals become highly successful, so they are rewarded with high salaries. On the other hand politicians are paid by the government with fixed salaries, and their income is not based on profit making.
However, I believe this trend is negative for society. Politicians play a very important role in the development of a country by making laws and policies that affect people’s daily lives. Their work requires responsibility, knowledge, and dedication. If entertainers paid much more, it can create imbalance in how society values different professions. Young people may start thinking fame and glamour is more important than serving country. This could reduce interest in public service and create long term problems for governance.
In conclusion, entertainers earn more money mainly because of their popularity and ability to generate income. However, I believe this is a negative development, as politicians have greater responsibilities and should be valued more for their contribution to society.
