In the early days shops were offten small and owned by local people in the particular area but as the time changed large malls started taking over cities and but it was not only limited to tier 1 cities but also tier 2 cities and so these malls not only became a place to shop things but also to experience product and services .
If we try to compare a mall to a small shop both of them have equal amounts of advantages and disadvantages but if we see the advantages in mall there is not only one type of store there are many types of stores and the amount of choices in products and services are more than a small store for sure at the same time the covience of having a one stop solution for everything but if we see the disadvantages the price at a mall is much higher than a smaller shop and even if it is a one stop solution for all the products the amount of effort to search that particular product is too much and even if the product is found the amount of time to buy that particular product is also high and this process also leads us to buy things which are not needed by us and only our bought to satisfy our desires.
On the other hand if we see small shops are the backbone and a very important pillar of our society through which we shop on a daily basis if we see 60% of our purchases are form small shops and not form malls and at the same time the security and peace of mind that a small shop has is diffrent cause we know that owner of the shop is someone we can trust and have faith in them as well.
In conclusion both malls and small shops have a equal amout of advantages and disadvantages with them but we need to understand that both play a very vital role in economy and our personal prefrences.
