Critics argue that people in some regions should pay for healthcare services in the next time because the number of elders is rising significantly bringing about the cost of public healthcare, also going up remarkably. in my view, I strongly do not believe that statement. Therefore, in this essay, I would like to explain the plausible reason why I said so.
On the one hand, the main reason is that it is not fair for certain groups of people, such as the poor or the homeless. This leads to a larger difficult situation for them, while they can not cover their basic life, how do they have abilities to pay for expensive public healthcare? Moreover, like the butterfly effect, driving the groups into a corner likely causes a dramatic repercussion, particularly surging a grave amount of the percentage of crime, and numerous individuals die of special diseases. For instance, when a person lives in poverty or is stuck out of money, they will have no finances to go to any hospitals, consequently, they tend to steal that from someone, or ignore their health’ going down and meet the grim reaper unconsciously.
On the other hand, although it makes a substantial impact on a range of unlucky people, the staff in medical careers have to suffer similar things. Specifically, if the population does not donate to healthcare centers, then doctors and nurses can not gain a valuable salary and they have to bear in front of the high pressure of working, as a result, the quality and productivity of the workers will decline drastically. Additionally, the “brain drain” phenomenon will occur whenever some professionals do not have a decent payment, thus they tend to move out and give their intelligent personality to private healthcare midpoints leading to dividing a clear line between wealthy and indigent.
In conclusion, if medical costs are going to be the individuals’ responsibility, it would affect all sides including the needy lives and the doctor’s motivations, creating immense disbenefits directly or indirectly involving the offenses and the gap between prosperous and poor people. Hence, in the end, I will reiterate my opinion that I disagree with the idea that people pay their medical bills.
