The following graph illustrates the consumption of different kinds of meat in a certain European country from 1979 to 2004. It shows that chicken has a steady escalation on average, while the consumption of beef and lamb per week has been falling since 1979. Fish has a minimal fall, almost having the same number since 1979.

Chickens have been a very beloved type of meat among many people, especially in this country. Chicken has a steady and quite dramatic increase each year. Although it did rise and fall, the decrease is minimal and the increase always overtakes the decrease. Such behavior has caused chicken to rise from less than 150 grams of consumption per week, to a staggering 250 grams per week. It had some falls and rises, like in 1989, or in around 1981, where it rose to around 160 grams to less than 150 grams, and from 200 grams to 180 grams respectively.

Beef and lamb both fell dramatically since 1979, but beef takes the lead in terms of its drop. Beef dropped from around 220 grams to almost 100 grams, while lamb meat fell from 150 grams to almost 50 grams. They both had some rises and downfalls, with beef having its all time high in the 1983s and dropping until 1994, where it had a slight growth but unexpectedly fell once again. Lamb, on the other hand, isn’t as popular as beef at all. Lamb had 150 grams back in 1979, and had a slight growth in 1987, but gradually fell to almost 50 as the years went by.

Lastly, we have fishes, which barely made much progress in terms of increasing or decreasing. It had around 55 grams per week in 1979, and only decreased by five in almost 30 years. However, it was mainly because of the slight fall in 1999, where it went to 49 grams, but it had a slight increase that caused it to rise back to 50, but unfortunately not 55.

In conclusion, beef had the lead out of all the other types of meat back in 1979, but fell with lamb meat in sales over the years. Chicken was the third lowest in 1979 and had a comeback that caused it to rise to almost 100 more grams than in 1979. Fish barely made much progress and just stayed steady at the 50 to 60 grams range.
