The diagrams below present a comprehensive overview of the Eiffel Tower’s location in Paris and a proposed extension project to develop its underground facilities.
The diagrams illustrate the Eiffel Tower’s structural layout and outline a future expansion plan, which is expected to enhance the tower’s appeal to tourists.
The Eiffel Tower, situated between the Seine River and the École Militaire in Paris, stands at an impressive height of 324 meters and weighs approximately 10,100 tonnes. Its metal structure features a multitude of amenities, including two viewing platforms accessible by 1,665 steps, as well as a range of facilities, such as shops, restaurants, a cinema, and a museum, spread across its five levels.
The proposed expansion plan involves the development of five underground levels, incorporating essential facilities, such as a ticket office, shopping facilities, a cinema, a museum, and two floors of underground parking. These floors will be connected by two vertical passenger lifts on either side of the tower, with the floor below the tower featuring a glass roof, offering visitors a direct view of the tower’s grandeur.
