There is no room for doubt that in this contemporary society, education plays an important role in shaping most of our aspects of life. Indeed, one topic that, to an extent, has raised worldwide controversy is whether students should use online classes or traditional ones. In my opinion, everything has two different sides like a coin with two facets and this is true for this essay.
First of all, it is easy for me to gain knowledge from my teachers and my classmates.
Clearly, if I study offline classes, I can ask my teacher when I don’t understand the lesson. Not only that, I like having interactions with classmates and being able to ask classmates for support when I don’t understand the lesson. By way of illustration, back in high school, because my home is quite far from my studies, I studied online and was influenced by friends, family, etc., causing me to not concentrate, miss lessons and get low scores. So I tried to study offline so as not to be influenced by my surroundings and achieved higher scores than I expected.
However, online classes are convenient for students and teachers in many ways. For students, they can understand the lesson when they cannot go to school for many different reasons such as: far away from home, weather,… For instance, because it’s raining a lot in Saigon, I can’t go to my school even though I really want to go to school so I don’t miss out on knowledge. Thanks to online classes, I did not miss out on knowledge, which helped me keep up with the lessons in class and I got good scores and clearly understood the knowledge in class. For teachers, online learning is very convenient. It helps them avoid spending money on facilities such as desks, chairs, etc. They just need to sit in front of the computer screen and pass on knowledge to students. For example, my sister is a lecturer at a university. In the past, because I didn’t have the conditions, my sister taught online only through a computer screen and still had quite a few students scoring high on tests.
In conclusion, this outstanding matter has sparked several opposing opinions about this statement. As far as I am concerned, each type of learning method has its own advantages and disadvantages, which will be suitable for various students.
