English is the most common language in school as it has been taught and practice in every subject now. Due to which there is a risk of local language becoming extinct as it is not frequently spoken.
In my view it is very important for everyone to learn english. It is an international language. It is being used a adminstrative language all around the globe. People from all around the world understands and speak from basic, intermediate to advance level. If we are travelling to a foreign country as a tourist we might not have a knowledge about the local language but if we have to communicate then we can do it via english as it the most common language.
On the other hand it is very critical to secure and keep the local language alive. If we do so then we can keep our ancestral heritage running. We can study about our roots and our history if we keep the language alive. To secure it from becoming extinct government and local bodies should play a vital role. We can teach it in the community by conducting weekly classes. The authorities should create an awareness campaign about the importance of ancient and local language.
In last we can conclude that both the English and local language are important in our society as both of them plays a vital role to gear up the pace of modern development in our society. We need to find a way to keep the heritage alive and also keep up with the English.
