The picture above presents the number of students studying six different courses, by gender, in a British university in 2014.
Overall, a higher number of male students were recorded in courses as Business Administration, Accountancy, Various engineering, and Chinese, which were totally opposite to the number of female students for the two remaining courses, which went for
Gender studies and English.
As the figure was shown in the table, in Business Administration, the number of male students stood at 1300 people, larger than female students by 50 people. Moving to Accountancy, the number of male students went down a little bit, which by 60 people, resulting in 1240 people, but remained a greater number than female students. As well as for Various engineering and Chinese, both still had a bigger number for male students compared to female students.
In contrast, English had a greater number of female students than male students, standing at 850 people, bigger than the number of male students by 50 people. A similar thing also worked for Gender studies. In this course, a big difference was witnessed. The number of female students was five times higher than male students.
