The diagrams illustrate the different two room layouts based on the number of people participating in a training session: one room is designed for a maximum of ten people, and the other for more than ten.
It is clear that there are many similarities in both rooms including many essential pieces of furniture such as the presenter’s chair, the morning tea, and a white board. However, the arrangement of these equipment has a variety of significance.
In plan A, the seating of participants is arranged in a U-shape. In contrast, the seating in plan B is arranged with more space. In addition, there is a noticeable change in the location of the morning tea area. In the former, the morning tea area is located at the bottom of the room, separate from the seating area, while in the latter, it is placed in the corner next to the presenter’s chair.
Moreover, the presenter’s chair and white board site are also different. In the room for ten people, the presenter’s chair is placed side by side with a white board, allowing all participants to face the presenter and the whiteboard directly. In contrast, in the remaining room, the board is placed at the front and is separated from the students’ seating area by the instructor’s desk.
