Overall, it is clear that the all modes was the most widely used mode of transport, while taxi journeys accounted for the fewest consumed mode of transportation.
Looking at the details, key features of this chart is the significant increase in total distance traveled across all modes rising from 4,740 to 6,475 on given period. The second place was car, with average distance for 3,199 initially and 4,806 in the end of the period. This mode alone made up the largest amount travel in both years.
In contrast, the use of local buses declined significantly from 429 to 274 miles in 2000. Similar downward trend constuted by walking and bicycle travel which dropped from 255 to 237 and 51-41 respectively. Meanwhile, the other modes for the train namely, long distance bus, train, taxi and others made up slight increase. The average for long-distance buses more than doubled from 54-124 miles. Rail travel increased from 289 to 366 miles per person. Although taxi was least popular choice for travel, it experienced sligh increased over the given period.
