Overall, the proportion of fuel used in transport in the European Union on average saw an upward trend, whereas Slovakia and Austria decreased. Additionally, France remained unchanged in both 2009 and 2010.
Looking at the decreasing data, it is seen that the rate of fuel produced for transport in Greece witnessed an increase from 4.6% to 4.8%, which exhibited the lowest figure among six European Union countries. In terms of Poland and Spain, there were two rises to 6% and 4.9%, the third and second lowest statistics in both years among those nations with increasing data respectively.
Regarding the remaining data, The percentage of fuel made for transport in France recorded no changes at 6% equal to Poland in 2010. Moreover, Slovakia experienced a decrease from 9.1% to 7.8% and stood at the highest figure in both 2009 and 2010. The period between 2009 and 2010 witnessed a fall from 6.3% to 5.1% in Austria and registered the second biggest data in 2009.
