The bar chart illustrates how the proportion of fuel from renewable energy changed in the transport sector across the six European Union countries between 2009 and 2010.
Broadly speaking, it is clear that Poland experienced an upward trend, the opposite was true for Greece, which accounted for the lowest figures compared to others. Furthermore, Slovakia emerged as the most dominant country throughout the entire period.
Focusing on the dominant categories, Slovakia recorded the highest percentages of renewable energy roughly 9.5% in 2009. However, after a slight decline, the figures stood at 7.85% in 2010. Other nations, such as Austria, France and Poland followed a similar pattern from 5% to 6.3% by the end of the timeframe.
In contrast, at the beginning of the period Spain was 3.5% and after significant rise, reached to approximately 5%. Greece was observed around 1.1% in 2009 and in 2010 was 2%.
To recapulate, Average figures of the renewable energy in 2009 was recorded 4,15%, even in 2010 wass noted in 4,85%.
