The given table illustrates the average time UK’s men and women spent on types of recess activities while the graph demonstrates that of household chores in 2008.

Overall, while the median minutes per day for leisure activities of British males was mostly higher than that of females, the opposite was true for household activities of women. In addition, repairing took men more time than ladies.

According to the average minutes each day spent for free time activities, in 2008, men chose to watch TV, radio, video longer than UK’s women, with 137 and 118, respectively. Moreover, while the figure for sport in men was 15, there was only 11 in women. However, ladies spent more time reading books than British guys.

Regarding the chart, there were almost 80 minutes per day that women cooked and washed, much more than that of UK’s men, standing at around 30. Besides, a significant similarity could be seen when we look at the average time spent on clothes washing and ironing of males and females, which was 30% and 10% in that order. Nevertheless, men repaired more time than ladies in Britain, and the figures were almost 20 and 10, respectively.
