It is argued that tourism industry has some positive impacts on a country. From my perspective, I partially approve of this idea.
On the one hand, there are two common reasons why international tourism has many advantages. To be more specific, first of all a growing tourist industry implies an increasing need for a variety of services such as hotels, transport, restaurants and entertainment. This result in a considerable number of jobs being created for people who do have not lack of college or university education. Secondly, the government pays more attention to both infrastructure development which involves building and improving facilities like roads, bridges and airports and preserve beautiful natural landscapes that tourist often come to see. The improved infrastructure and maintaining green spaces benefit both local individuals and tourists.
On the other hand, tourism brings some drawbacks for a country. First and foremost, tourism cities often experience increased traffic due to the large number of people moving in and out of the city to visit tourist attractions. This increased traffic can contribute significantly to noise and air pollution, particularly near transportation hubs like airports, train stations and bus terminals. It causes a higher level of green greenhouse gas in atmosphere and sound pollution in the strees; thus, more and more people suffer from air and sound pollution. Additionally, tourism can have a negative effect on the natural environment. Local states are likely to build more facilities and infrastructures around tourist attractions in order to meet the need of tourist, which may result in deforestation and loss of natural habitats.
In conclusion, I am strongly in favour of tourist industry has both advantages and disadvantages for a country.
