Dear Naomi,

I hope you are doing well. I am doing great, even though this term is kind of hard for me. I have received your previous letter and, of course, I would be happy to help you with the college project.

In Indonesia, the new year is very important. Every citizen is eager to celebrate it. We believe the new year is a new beginning to start a new chapter. We often celebrate it by playing with fireworks, having a barbecue night with our loved ones, and watching the year’s first sunrise.

What I like the most about New Year celebrations in Indonesia is the precious time when I gather with my family and friends to have a barbecue night. We play cards and reminisce about all the wonderful memories that happened in the previous year while waiting for midnight. It made my heart warm.
