In the last century, the development of technologies was significant. While some people assert that there are negative consequences for humanity, I firmly believe that technology is mostly positive development, and this essay will discuss the arguments.
It is certainly the case that many technologies and specialized machinery were developed to examine the world around us and make our life easier. Not only are they helpful for agricultural or industrial use, but they also offer people an opportunity to travel all over the globe by planes, ships, and trains. Some might argue that transport and use of fossil fuels have a detrimental impact on our environment, as they produce dangerous emissions and cause greenhouse effect. Nevertheless, I believe that this issue can be tackled by modern recycle technologies and eco-friendly transport.
It can also be argued that in the modern world more and more people can afford themselves quality education by using gadgets. The Internet made many textbooks accessible for a vast majority of people, whereas artificial intelligence may serve as a personal tutor for everyone. Therefore, I claim that technologies contribute to our life through providing us with an opportunity for inclusive education.
However, looking at the issue in the long term, mankind may face the problem of a scarcity of resources. Although this problem is global, from my point of view, it can be solved by already existing technologies of alternative energy, such as solar and wind power.
In conclusion, it is my believe that modern technologies mostly have a positive impact on our life, especially in regard of education and travel opportunities.
