The bar chart gives a breakdown on how much fuel was used by means of transportation in six European countries in 2009 and 2019 as well as comparing the figures to the average EU fuel consumption.
It is clear that the people of Slovakia used far greater percentage of fuel than the other four countries in the both years observed, while the least of all belongs to Greece. Moreover, the whole usage of EU countries dropped by 1 percent over the year.
In the year 2006, the Slovakians consumed 1.5 times as much as the European average. This number for Italy and France was well over and under 4 percent respectively. While Austrians used fuel for their vehicles almost the rate of average, the figure for Spain and Greece was much lower at about approximately 4 and 1 percent each.
Four years later in 2010 the fuel consumption by the people in Slovakia dropped by nearly 3 percent, while that of Italy and Spain witnessed a slight increase. Fuel consumption in Australia remained unchanged over the given period comprising 5 %. The figure for Spain dipped to 3 %. In contrast the consumption of vehicles in Greece experienced an increase by nearly 1 percent.
