The table illustrates the fraction of use of buses for travel in individuals of the United Kingdom from 2009 to 2011. It is evident that the use of buses was more for shopping and visiting friends then other purposes.
The highest proportion of people was in 2009 at 65%. It starts to decrease in 2010 to 2011 which was at 56% and 51%. The number of people visiting friends by bus was highest in 2009 and 2010 at 19% and increased significantly in 2011 and reached at 23%.
Minimum population used buses to travel to work in 2009 at 5% which decreased significantly over two years and reached 0%.
The fraction of individuals who travel by bus for study and day tour has almost same data. It was lowest in 2009 with 4% for study purposes and only 7% for day tour. The next two years shows significant increase in proportion of these individuals with 9% for study and 12% for day tour.
The overall table present that use of buses was highest for shopping than for other reassons.
