Overall, the better job opportunities accounted for the major proportion of reasons for doing MBA. While personality and knowledge are the main criteria that employers value.
According to the first chart, better job opportunities is the main reason for choosing MBA degrees. The percentage of reasons for individuals want to have better job opportunities is significantly larger than other reasons, which account for 65%. The other reasons are students want to have the ability to do job better and other students want to develop themselves, which are 15% and 12%, respectively. While the proportion for people with the purpose to have the ability to help others was only 8%.
The other chart indicates that the percentage of criteria in personality and knowledge are valued most by employers, which account for the same 25%. Additionally, presentation/ appearance and connections account for the same rate of 20%. Although most students choose MBA degrees to have a better chance to get a job, qualifications are not the main factor that employers focus on, which is only 10%.
