People have different views on the importance of national news and international news. While some people believe that following world news is very important, I would argue that keeping abreast of national news is a wiser choice.
On the one hand, some people think that world news have certain benefits. Firstly, it can keep people up-to-date with information about global environment issues. For example, this news provides informations about climate change. Therefore, individuals can prepare with emergency response. Secondly, it can be well-informed about about global pandemics. As a result, citizens will have preventive measures to prevent deadly diseases from spreading further.
On the other hand, I believe that there are some advantages of following domestic news. The first advantages is that this news updates any changes in the job market in their country, so they are able to make timely corresponding adjustments with any changes of social. Additionally, it will be able to inform themselves of what is happening around their neighbourhood such as crime and other social evils.
In conclusion, while international news is very necessary, I would argue that following the national news is also a good option.
