The given bar chart depicts the different forms of addressing waste in four European nations.
It is clear that recycling was the most popular method in Netherlands, while landfilled was preferred most by the British. Additionally, the percentage of waste processed by chemicals was the highest among four solutions.
In Netherland, the proportion of waste tackled by burning was about 10%, one third of Spain with 30%. In addition, nearly 68% waste resolved by recycling in Netherland, whereas there was only 12% in Spain. In contrast, the percentage of wasted processed by landfilled method was 40%, five times as much as the figure for Spain with around 9%. Meanwhile, using chemicals in these two countries was comparable, both below 20%.
Regarding Italy and the UK, landfilled was the most prevalent solution with 40% for Italy and 60% for the UK. Burning is the second one in Italy with about 22%, while that of the UK was only 5%. The percentage of waste resolved by chemicals in these two nations was at the same level, 19% for each. Meanwhile, the figure for recycling in Italy was 20%, much higher than that of the UK with about 12%.
