The charts illustrate the qualifications of employees in an advertising enterprise from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, it is clear that there was a downward trend in the percentages of both First Degrees in Science and First Degrees in Art, while the opposite was true for the remaining qualifications, with the exception of Master’s degrees in Science during the period. Additionally, the proportion of Master’s degrees in Science remained unchanged throughout the period.
Looking first at the details, the percentage of Ph.D.s in Science increased moderately from 12% in 1990 to 30% in 2010, making this qualification the most common in the final year. In addition, the same trends were seen in the proportions of both Master’s degrees in Art and Ph.D.s in Art, with a slight rise from 21% to 23% for the former and from 2% to 5% for the latter between 1990 and 2010.
In terms of the remaining qualifications, 29%, which ranked first among all qualifications in the first year, was the percentage of Master’s degrees in Science during the period, before being surpassed by the figure for Ph.D.s in Science in 2010. At the same time, the advertising company experienced a significant decrease from 15% to 2% in the percentage of First Degrees in Art acquired by employees from 1990 to 2010. Furthermore, the same pattern could be seen in the proportion of First Degrees in Science, with a considerable fall from 20% in 1990 to 11% in 2010.
