Forest are often called the lungs of the Earth, however, there is a continuous tendency to cutting down trees all over the world. This ongoing deforestation lead to many people worry about our planet that might become unhabitable place in the near future. In this essay, I will discuss why preserving forests are important and what actions both individuals and government can take for preventing deforestation.
As forests play a crucial role for keeping environment healthy with their ability of absorbing carbon dioxide from atmosphere which comes from mostly the extraction and burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gases, and produce oxygen, it should be our supreme duty to preserve forests. Without enough green areas, the amount of green house gases may overcome the oxygen in atmosphere and it can lead serious health issues likely lung cancer, for both us and future generation.
Both individuals and authorities have to take a serious actions for preventing deforestation. As an individual level, every single person need to reduce their usage of paper and wooden product for decreasing the demand to cut down trees. Another tendency that can be taken individual is recycling. However it is renowned thing in European countries, it is still not a case for countries like Azerbaijan. Government can also enforce strict laws to stop illegal logging and create more protected areas where not deforestation allowed. They can also encourage people to plant trees in their community with giving prize strategies.
In summary, preserving forests is crucial for the well-being of our planet and all its habitants. By promoting both individually and governmentally actions to prevent deforestation need to be today’s priority, as the ecosystem gets worst everyday. If we don’t do anything now, the future of our planet might be in risk
