The production was 5, 398 (billion kWh) and the consumption was 5,322 (billion kWh) in China. The second highest production was in the United States, accounting for 4,099 (billion kWh), and electricity was used 3,866 (billion kWh) in the US. Russia produced and consumed more electricity than the other 7 countries, 1,057 and 1,038 (billion kWh) respectively. Japan was in fourth place for consumption (936.2 billion kWh) and usage (856.7 billion kWh) . Germany was merely a country that produced electricity less than using it, 526.6 and 582.5 billion kWh respectively. In Korea, Rep. the electric energy was least by using 449.5 billion kWh and producing 485.1 in 2014.
