The table provides information about the number of Indian full-time students who studied at six different universities in the UK in two periods 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.
Overall, while BPP University was the most popular university in terms of educating foreign students, Sheffield University witnessed the least number of students who came to study. Additionally, there was a significant rise in the students’ quantity at country universities throughout the period.
The number of students at country universities was 2,390 in 2020, seeing a more than two-fold increase in 2022, reaching nearly 5,300. Furthermore, there was a considerable jump in Greenwich University’s number of students, rising from 2,455 to 4,540 throughout the period. These figures for BPP University were much bigger, seeing an increase of half from 3,500 to 5,145.
Looking at less popular universities, the number of students at Sheffield University accounted for 815 in 2020. However, these figures tripled throughout the period, reaching 2,345. Anglia Ruskin University registered a rise of 1,340, while the same trend can be seen in the number of students at Leicester University, increasing from 1,175 to 2,390.
