Media plays a vital role in inculcating virtues and ethics in a society, as they serve as a primary role for providing information about the world. Internet, newspaper, television and radio are the main sources of media and they should be aware of the authenticity, sincerity and intensity of the news they present.
I agree with the fact that some restrictions should be imposed on the media for the type of information they provide in recent times. Instead of encouraging the remarkable efforts or work done by the people and the positive aspects of the world; currently, the main focus of the media is on showcasing the crimes, cruelty and negative aspects of the society.
In this modern and developed world, internet provides with all the information that a person needs. Hence, the news and articles available on the internet creates huge impact on the day to day life of a person. There are lot of misleading and triggering information available on the internet which becomes an important factor for the ignition of riots and disputes. Further, the negative propagandas and ideas add fuel to such serious situation making the condition worse. Nowadays, the most of the headlines that a person can encounter in newspapers are about crimes and sympathetic news which builds a base for depression and unnecessary fear among the people residing in the society. Though certain articles and news initially provides with an age restriction precaution but still the severity of the images and information should have some restrictions.
To conclude, the media should keep a balance in showcasing both, positive and negative information which leads to healthy and safe environment. Even the intensity of the information related to crime should be reduced and should focus on addressing the precautions and the solutions of the problem.
