In the modern society, it is debated over the topic of reading books in front of watching television. While some argue that they both have the same source of knowledge and entertainment, others contend that reading books brings superior imagination and linguistic abilities. I wholeheartedly align with the latter perspective, believing that reading can cultivate better mental imagery and language skills than television could.
The power of reading lets us into different universes word by word, where every single character is made by us. However, many of the movies based on novels which have raked in high profits, like Harry Potter based on 8 series of books, those books explain every single theme beautifully and allow us to get to know about the body, from eyes to legs, that lets the person in their solely journey of the fantasy world. This kind of description and adventure can neither be experienced in movies nor in the future by television or theater.
Moreover, books give the opportunity to grow linguistic skills like text, syntax, and source of entertainment with a plethora of knowledge. It is useful further to correct our language delivery, understanding, and to improve writing ability. Additionally, it increases vocabulary, choosing the perfect word for our assignments and expressing our feelings in a more poetic way.
In conclusion, reading books has undeniably advantages and gives the movement to make our dreamy universe. Conversely, in the graphic world, we live in the dream of the director. They both have enjoyments, but some enjoyments are far more amazing than others by just our involvement. It would be possible.
