The graph illustrates a multi level record of households using internet services in Germany, UK and France over a decade between 2010 and 2020.
It is noticeable that the trends in all three countries differ significantly from each other. The number of internet using households in France shows a significant increase, whereas in Germany there was a steady decline in 10 years.
Looking at the data from 2010 to 2015, the growth of number of internet users in UK is thrice as that of France. However, in the next five years, France saw a sharp rise reaching upto 90% by 2020 surpassing the other two countries. During the same duration, there was a slight 10% decline in UK. The most striking plummet was in Germany witnessing a fall of almost 40% – slightly more in first five years than the following five till 2020.
Overall, the data shows a clear shift of usage of internet in households in 10 years. Germany started at highest percentage and ended up at the data point where UK started. While UK and France embraced usage logging an overall climb of 20% and 50% each.
