The information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 is given in the graphs. The table shows three sources, National Government, Local Taxes and Other sources (e.g. grants) where the money came from and the charts depict distribution of that money. Overall, while the income of two sources remained almost stable, the other one experienced significant rise. We can also see that money distribution on salaries was the highest in both period of time.
In 2017, the vast majority of revenue came from National Government 175.5 million. Local taxes income was 91.2 million which is just above half that amount of National Government. Other sources such as grants brought 38 million. In 2018, National Government increased its up to 177.8 million meanwhile Local Texas faced a dramatic increase in there revenue reaching 102.3 million. Other sources gained only 0.5 million more income.
The money distribution on salaries dominated in both 2017 and 2018 75% and 69% of total money respectively. In 2017, the money contributed on technology was 17% of total money and remained the same in 2018 meanwhile the money contribution on buildings and transport increased from 8% to 14%.
