The illustrations show the current and proposed layout of the islip town centre. Today, as you enter from the west side of the center, you will see two paths diversion: one heading east which is the main road, and the other going south leading to the school. The main road is lined by shops on both sides. By the end of the shops, a road facing the south direction will bring you to the park. The housing is located between the school and the park, which is also behind the shops.
After development, several improvements will be made in the town center. A two-way road will be established that will surround the area, allowing access to all main establishments. A bus station and car park will also be placed to provide accessibility. A shopping center will also be on the rise on this development. The main road will be transformed to a pedestrian-only walkway. As they will add more housing to cater more people, both the school and the park will remain as it current status.
In summary, many changes will occur in this proposal while still maintaining its key features. The paved road will connect all buildings that will make transportation in the area better.
