The flow chart illustrates the development of the silkworm and production of silk cloth.
Overall, there are four main stages in the process, commencing with producing eggs and ending with moth. When it comes to silk cloth, silk is used to make clothes.
The first stage is when eggs fall onto the leaf. After this process, silkworm larvae become visible over the ten days period. After this stage is complete, silkworms feed on mulberry leaf food during the early stages of their life cycle. 4 to 6 weeks later, the silkworm enters the silk thread. At this point in the cycle, the silk thread covers all gaps and becomes a cocoon. Finally, the silkworm leaves the cocoon after a 16 day period.
Looking at the first stage of silk cloth production, the cocoon is put into boiling water. At the next stage, the cocoon is taken out of the water which unwinds for a long period of time. After that, it becomes bigger approximately, at 300m to 900m.Following this, the cocoon is twisted which is then prepared for weaving. In the final stage of the process, the weaving cocoon is dyed into a pan.
