The bar charts compare the performance of bus arriving on time and the number of complains from passengers, respectively, during a 5-year period.
Overall, it is quite clear that the target rate of buses arriving on time declined ench year, while the actual punctuality fluctuated during the period. Besides, the number of complains given by passengers increased a lot in general.
In 1999, around 82% of buses arrived on time, 2% higher than the target rate with 80%. The year of 2000 witnessed a dramatic decrease in the percentage of buses arriving punctually, hitting a low of 30%, 12% lower than the expected data. Then, an upward trend occured in the proportion of actual punctuality in 2001, where the target rate was 2% lower than that, and the 2002 had a similar trend as 2001. Subsequently, the percentage of buses arriving on time grew significantly, almost twice as high as that in 2002, whereas the figure for expected rate still remained a low level with about 38%.
However, the number of compains from passengers was 60% in the initial year, and it soar to 90% in 2000 before dropping to 70% in 2001. Furthermore, a steady increase had taken place in this figure from 70% to 120% by 2003.
