The line graph describe the transform in number of crimes at 3 different areas in the center of Manchester in a period of 9 years from 2003 to 2012
Overall, we can see that the number in 3 categories remain unchanged with an exception in burglary. Even though starting with the highest point of the chart but after burglary has been overtaken by the number of car theft
Starting with the highest point with almost 3500 crimes in 2003, burglary continued to rise up and reached its peak at around 3700 in 2004 before dramatically dropping in that year. Between 2004 and 2008 burglary experienced the highest drop in the chart from over 3500 crimes happening in 1 year down to 1000. From then on, numbers kept fluctuating until it reached the end of the chart.
Both start with a smaller number than burglary , car theft and robbery were around 2300 and 540 respectively. Throughout the chart they both got their own increase but there are just small fluctuations. Car Theft rose stably in the first 2 years before dropping down approximately to 2000 in 2006 , then ending it up with the overtaken in 2012 with around 2700.Meanwhile, the rate for robbery fluctuated very slightly between around 500 and 900, ending at approximately 600
