While numerous public museums require admission fee, state-owned museums in several countries have free entrance. Although there are several benefits offered by free entrance museums, the drawbacks of this strategy are also considerable. I partially agree with this statement since free admission to public museums could attract more visitors and increase tourism, The drawbacks including inadequate facility as well as security may may also follow.

Free admission public museums could foster tourism and recognition. As a wider range of visitors enable to visit museums, the recognition will grow, resulting in increased tourism. For instance, not only high-income society can witness the art and historical matter in the museum, low economic community can also experience it. Furthermore, free entrance museums could also enable more people to expand their literacy as the museums offer them free knowledge and experience.

Nevertheless, there are also notable drawbacks which shouldn’t be overlooked from this strategy. Free entrance museums may lack in sufficient facilities and securities since the funding from visitors is absent. To give a clear example, not only items displayed can be easily damaged, the general facility also can easily disfunction due to excessive use and lack maintenance. Moreover, since a wider range of people able to enter the museums, the risk of malicious could also increase. In some cases, vandalization and thievery can easily occur. And more than that, free entrance could enable criminals to homeless people to enter the museums.

In conclusion, while numerous public museums charge admissions fee, public museums in some countries have free entrance. Although various benefits offered by free admission museums, I partially agree that drawback following this strategy are also notable. Various drawbacks including inadequate facilities and increased vandalization and criminal rate could be concerning due to the absence funding from visitors in free entrance museums.
