The two maps display the museum has developed with new functions area since 1988 to 2008.
Overall, the museum underwent significant redevelopment, with the garden being removed to make way for new facilities such as fountains, a restaurant, and additional shops, while the exhibition areas remained largely unchanged.
In 1998, the central part of the museum consisted of a café and a garden. By 2008, however, the garden had disappeared, replaced by two fountains and a new toilet block to the right of the café. A restaurant was also constructed to the left, occupying part of the former exhibition area.
Other notable modifications include the expansion of the shopping area, which replaced the original single shop with multiple shops on the left-hand side. The coatroom, ticket counter, and entrance/exit remained in the same position, although the coatroom became slightly smaller. In contrast, the permanent exhibition rooms on both sides of the museum stayed unchanged throughout the period
