The two maps depict the transformation of a coastal area between 1995 and the present day.
Overall, the area has undergone a remarkable modernization, evolving from a relatively undeveloped residential zone into a well-planned community with improved leisure amenities, upgraded accommodation, and a more appealing living environment.
In the northeastern part of the area, the former farmland and forest park were completely redeveloped to accommodate a golf course and several tennis courts. The hotel adjacent to these new facilities was expanded, and a car park was added, greatly enhancing convenience for visitors. The nearby housing estate has seen only minor changes, with a few additional houses constructed and a new road extending along its northern boundary.
Along the main road, the original row of shops was replaced by a series of restaurants, reflecting the area’s shift toward a more service-oriented character. Opposite these, the former fish market was demolished to make way for modern apartment buildings. Furthermore, the fishing port was removed entirely, resulting in a tidier and more open coastline. The café, however, is the only facility that has remained unchanged since 1995, providing a touch of continuity amid extensive redevelopment.
