Overall, the Norbiton industrial area is expected to experience significant modifications and enhancements. More precisely, new amenities will be implemented, and all the factories are going to be replaced by housing. Furthermore, the area’s infrastructure is planned to witness major alterations.
The farmland, which is located in the top central area of the map, will be relocated closer to the right. Regarding the eastern side, a playground is anticipated to be erected right in front of the farmland across the river. Factories alongside the road, which is to be leading to the playground and a school, will be given away to the construction of housing. In addition, a new facility, namely a medical centre, will be added below the aforementioned road, adjacent to a central roundabout.
In the present, the loop road has only two directions, but in the longer perspective the infrastructure is about to be developed considerably, connecting more roads. The central intersection is to head to a new accommodation at the top of the map, which can be reached by crossing the river. As for the western area of the site, a new path will be added, branching off the central loop. It is set to pave the way towards more housing places. There are also plans to open up shops which will be situated instead of the factory previously located in the junction with the main road in the southern part of the map.
