Overall, the number of people working in part-time jobs in all the countries of the United Kingdom inclined. Conversely, the number of people who worked as part-time workers in Northern Ireland declined from 1980 to 2010.
People working part-time jobs in Wales and England rose to the similar level in 2010 but in different rates. While the number of part-time crews in England went up about 5 percent, it approximately increased 2 percent in Wales. However, part-time job employment was the highest in Wales in both years.
Even though Scotland increased around 10 percent which is the biggest rate, the number of part-time workers had still lower than the two countries above in 2010. On the contrary, the numbers of part-time employees who worked in Northern Ireland slightly dropped almost 10 percent in a period of 30 years, becoming the country that had the lowest part-time employees in the United Kingdom.
